You’re invited to join Brittany A. Gash, Arts Publicist & Marketing Consultant, in her special Marketing workshop – Branding, Social Media, & PR for Artists and Creatives on Saturday, January 14, 2017.
With over a decade of Arts Marketing experience, Brittany leads this special course, made especially for the artist and creative business owner. The course is separated into three sessions focused on Branding, Social Media and Public Relations. The purpose of this event is to provide artists and business owners with the tools and resources to “sell” themselves and do their own marketing. You will leave the course understanding how to:
- Develop a solid brand and leverage it to reach your goals
- Use social media to reach and engage your audience and create loyal, returning customers, donors, investors, etc.
- Create a PR Strategy resulting in media attention and reviews

Crafting a Brand the Matters
In this interactive session, you will learn how to craft and develop a solid and recognizable brand that aligns directly to your artistic and company goals. You will leave with an understanding on how to develop marketing strategies around your brand, how to differentiate yourself from the competition and then how to maintain and manage your brand for the future. Discussion topics include Brand Elements (image versus message), appealing to the target audience, brand audits, and tips for leveraging and promoting your brand.
Social Media: Making Fans & Keeping Them
Are ready to expand your business by using social media, but don’t know where to start? This session will walk you through the going beyond the simple post to creating an effective Social Media Marketing strategies that will increase fans, followers, likes and clicks while building a loyal and engaged fan/customer base. This session is about attracting new customers, building customer loyalty and increasing brand awareness. You will learn What it means to be a social media marketer; Which social media sites are best for you, your art, and your business; What it means to engage and interact with your audience; What kind of content works best on each site; How to create a social media content plan and calendar; and How to track the success of your social media strategy
You are a PR Rockstar: Tools for Media Outreach & Audience Building
This session is all about Publicity (or Public Relations). You will learn the core concepts behind Public Relations and will leave with the ability to put together a solid plan for approaching and securing media coverage. You will learn how to build a comprehensive media contact list and the best methods for pitching your stories to the media. You will also receive tips for making your own news, be shown how to use your Branding and Social Media as publicity tools, and how to use “influencers,” partners, and fans to promote your brand.

About Brittany A. Gash
Brittany A. Gash is a Marketing & Public Relations Consultant for the nonprofit, arts, and entertainment fields. With over 10 years of Marketing & PR experience, her expertise lies in event publicity, social media campaigns, brand and image management, content creation, and digital marketing. She is also a marketing consultant and coach for individual artists and creative business owners working to build their careers and grow their businesses. She prides herself on empowering her clients to take control of their careers and businesses by supplying them with knowledge, tools, and resources for a DIY marketing campaign.
Her philosophy is that well-planned strategies are the key to not only brand identity but also long-term customer loyalty, increased revenues and community engagement. She is the Publicity Manager for the Hollywood Fringe Festival, Publicist & Marketing Consultant for Towne Street Theatre and Brazilian Nites Productions. She has also taught courses on Public Relations, Social Media, and Branding with Trade School Los Angeles, L.A. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Emerging Arts Leader/Los Angeles and the Elected Board of Jane Austen Society of North America/Southwest.
